The Author, who has been a career central banker for nearly thirty years, has a good deal of experience in dealing with matters relating to the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934 and Banking Regulations Act, 1949 and other related legislations. Prior to joining his present employment , he was a practicing lawyer and a law officer in a commercial bank. He holds postgraduate degrees in law as well as economics and has a PhD in law.
He has served as an ex officio member of the Governing Board of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI), the nodal authority constituted for the administration of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, for about eight years.
